Catenaa, Sunday, February 01, 2026-Onchain predictions market Polymarket has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Major League Soccer, making it the league’s sole prediction market partner across marquee events.
The agreement covers the MLS Cup, conference competitions and the All-Star Game, and introduces new fan engagement features designed for use alongside live broadcasts.
The partnership expands Polymarket’s presence in US sports as prediction platforms deepen ties with leagues and media groups.
Polymarket will integrate league data to support real time market activity tied to matches and season outcomes.
The company said the effort is intended to give fans additional ways to engage with games through data driven insights during live play.
The deal follows a wave of licensing agreements involving leading prediction platforms Polymarket and Kalshi, which have increasingly supplied market data to sports leagues, media outlets and search services. The National Hockey League has entered multiyear licensing arrangements with both platforms, while Polymarket has also secured exclusive deals with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the New York Rangers.
Prediction markets allow users to trade contracts tied to future events, with pricing reflecting collective expectations. Supporters argue the structure can surface clearer signals about likely outcomes because participants commit capital to their views.
Market competition has intensified. Kalshi’s trading volume has recently exceeded Polymarket’s, driven in part by its relationship with Robinhood and expanded sports offerings, according to industry data.
