NFT Paris 2026 Canceled Amid NFT Market Downturn

NFT Paris 2026 canceled

Catenaa, Saturday, January 10, 2026-NFT Paris, one of the largest annual cryptocurrency conferences, has been canceled with one month’s notice, organizers announced on X.

The event, scheduled for February 5–6 at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris, had expected about 20,000 attendees, hundreds of presenters, and parallel summits covering real-world assets, Bitcoin-based digital collectibles, and AI-focused Web3 projects.

Organizers attributed the cancellation to a continued slump in NFT markets. Despite occasional spikes in 2025, trading volumes remain roughly 95% below 2021 highs, and prominent collections such as Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks have lost substantial value.

OpenSea and other NFT platforms are pivoting toward broader crypto aggregation services amid the downturn.

Ticket holders will receive refunds within 15 days. General admission cost $231.33, while VIP access was $1,161.30. Organizers said they are making efforts to “close this chapter properly,” but some sponsors indicated they may not receive reimbursement.

One generative artist reported that organizers cited non-refundable event costs exceeding sponsorship contributions as the reason for withheld payments.

The cancellation highlights persistent volatility in NFT markets despite growth in other areas of cryptocurrency.

NFT Paris had successfully hosted four prior editions connecting the global Web3 community, but financial and market conditions prevented the 2026 event from moving forward. Organizers have not provided details on future editions.
