Crypto ETP inflows surge globally

Catenaa, Thursday, January 08, 2026-Global crypto exchange-traded products saw inflows of $47.2 billion in 2025, just below the $48.7 billion record set in 2024, according to CoinShares.

Bitcoin-focused products accounted for $26.9 billion, down 35% from $41.4 billion a year earlier, while short-bitcoin products attracted $105 million in inflows.

Altcoin ETPs saw substantial growth, led by Ethereum with $12.7 billion in inflows, a 138% year-over-year increase. XRP products drew $3.7 billion, a 500% rise, and Solana products added $3.6 billion, up 1,000%.

Other altcoins collectively saw inflows decline 30% to $318 million, highlighting a concentration in the altcoin rotation.

The US remained the largest market with $42.5 billion in inflows, down 12% from 2024, while Europe and Canada saw notable gains.

Germany recorded $2.5 billion in inflows, reversing $43 million in 2024 outflows, and Canada added $1.1 billion, compared to prior-year outflows of $603 million.

CoinShares reported a strong start to 2026, with weekly inflows of $582 million, including a Friday spike of $671 million despite mid-week outflows. Prices largely reflected flows, with bitcoin near $93,000, Ethereum above $3,150, XRP around $2.13, and Solana near $135.
