Ark Invest buys Robinhood shares

Catenaa, Wednesday, December 17, 2025-  Ark Invest purchased 124,427 shares of Robinhood worth about $15.4 million across two of its ETFs as the trading platform’s stock fell 9.1%.

The Cathie Wood-led firm acquired 96,048 shares for its Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK) and 28,379 shares for its Ark Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW). Ark has been actively rebalancing its crypto-related holdings, including a $7.5 million Coinbase purchase last week.

The firm limits any single position to 10% of a fund to maintain diversification. Robinhood is currently Ark’s seventh-largest holding in both ARKK (4.4%, $351.6 million) and ARKW (4.7%, $106.9 million).

Ark also increased exposure to its own Bitcoin ETF, ARKB, acquiring 13,700 shares across the ARKW and Ark Fintech Innovation funds, valued at roughly $417,000.

The purchase comes amid continued volatility in bitcoin markets, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs experiencing $77.5 million in net outflows on Thursday. Bitcoin itself traded near $92,522, up 2.5% in the past 24 hours.

Ark’s latest moves highlight ongoing adjustments in its crypto and fintech holdings, balancing market exposure while adhering to fund diversification rules.
